Supply List - Petal Pouch
Make an adorable Petal Pouch by Noodlehead: a nice sized pouch to hold makeup, pencils, cables, etc. Learn how to follow a pattern, install a zipper and lining, and sew gussets. Students can choose to sew a small or a large pouch. This workshop is a good follow-up to our Sewing Machine Basics class.
Sewing Level: Beginner
SUPPLIES REQUIRED:
Recommended Fabrics:
Cotton or blended canvas; denim, twill, home dec, quilting cotton for the exterior. Quilting cotton for lining.
Requirements based on 44” wide fabric. FQ (Fat Quarter) = 18″ x 22″
Exterior fabric: 1 FQ (or 1/4 meter)
Lining fabric: 1 FQ (or 1/4 meter)
Other Supplies:
- Fusible Woven Interfacing (20″-wide): 1/2 meter
- 10” zipper (or 6” for small pouch) - if you cannot find a zipper these exact lengths, buy a nylon zipper that is longer.
- Spool of thread to match your exterior fabric
- Straight pins
- Bobbin
