Visible mending celebrates your well loved garments by turning wear and tear into functional and beautiful badges of honour! In the first week of this two session class we will be learning Sashiko Mending, a Japanese traditional method of patching holes and strengthening fragile spots with long running stitches. In week two we will be exploring woven darning techniques to patch small holes. Students are welcome to work on a sampler cloth or to bring some garments that need TLC.
