Do zippers and buttons intimidate you? In this technique class you'll learn several closure methods to help boost confidence when sewing from a pattern or with your own designs. Skills include using a variety of stitches and presser foot attachments to sew varying zipper applications add buttonholes and sew buttons by machine. You'll create a mini manual of cheat sheets with helpful tips and sew a sample for each method that you can refer back to in future projects.
Level: Beginner. Students must have basic sewing machine knowledge and experience sewing straight seams.

General Class Policies
In order to ensure that each student completes their project in the allotted time frame, our sewing machine based workshops are limited to 5 students (maximum) unless otherwise stated. Workshops that do not required a sewing machine are limited to 6 students. A minimum age of 18 is required for all our classes unless otherwise started. Students must have completed the Sewing Machine Basics class or have equivalent experience in order to participate in workshops that require the use of a sewing machine.
Instructors and students will be required to wear masks and/or face coverings for the entire duration of the workshop.
Payment and Cancellation Policies
To reserve a spot in any of our workshops, full payment of the class fee is due upon registration. Cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to the class start time are eligible for a full refund. To ensure that we are able to meet the minimum number of students required to run a workshop, cancellations made within 72 hours of the workshop are subject to cancellation penalty equal to 50% of their class fee, with the remaining 50% placed on file as store credit. Cancellations within 24 hours of the class start time forfeit the fee entirely. To avoid a cancellation fee, please provide notice at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled workshop.
