Join Liz for a fun, beginner-friendly crash course in PATCHWORK!

Patchwork, most commonly found in quilts, is the end result of cutting and joining small bits of fabric together to form a new swath of cloth. This fabric can then be used to make all sorts of unique and functional soft goods, including (but not limited to) quilts, bags, mats, and garments! Patchwork is a creative way to use up scraps, explore colour and create special pieces of art for you and loved ones!

In this two-session workshop, participants will learn how to confidently use the trifecta of essential tools (rotary cutter, grid ruler and mat) to create foundational blocks used in traditional patchwork. We cover strip piecing, half-square triangles, half-rectangle triangles, curved piecing techniques and more! This mini course is suitable for beginners and more experienced sewists alike!
