Join us on Friday September 6th, 7-9pm for a banner making session in support of Global Climate Strike week.
Between the week of September 20-27, young people across the globe will be leading climate strikes in their communities, demanding an end to the age of fossil fuels and climate justice for everyone. Our banner making workshop is an opportunity to unite as makers to show support for the local and global climate strikes.
Participants attending the workshop will learn how to use fusible web as a way to applique lettering to a backing fabric, as well as how to create a double fold hem and channel. No sewing experience necessary!
Local environmentalist Andrea McDowell will be giving a short talk on climate justice during the class.
This workshop is being offered on a sliding scale with minimum fee of $5. Proceeds from this workshop will be donated to Environment Hamilton.
Can't make it Friday night? Sign up for our Saturday September 7th 10-12pm session here.
