The Collection Quilt s an exploration of color and shape in a 9-part series. Each prt starts with a discussion about technique as well as color, and is followed by instructions, illustrations, and photographs, for as well as 6 bonus projects where the blocks are used.
About fabric selection: Fabrics for the cover project are listed on the pattern back, but feel free to select a palette of your own. Each requirement is also listed by colour, which gives you an opportunity to explore possibilities of your own. In the pattern is also a blank schematic of the project and tips for planning your own project.
Materials: Measurements assume fabric is at least 44" wide.
Tools: thread (coordinating and contrasting colours), applique needles, applique pins, large fabric scissors, applique scissors or small fabric scissors, removable marking tool, seam gauge, iron, card stock or template plastic, rotary cutter, cutting mat and rulers
Techniques: Instructions are for needle-turn applique. Use another applique technique if desired.
Skill level: This project is intended to grow your skills. First blocks are beginner friendly, and as your skills grow, so do the block challenges.
