Join us over two consecutive weekends and sew your own version of the Bestie Bag by BF Patterns: a cute, banana-shaped carryall!
This trendy yet practical bag pattern offers two sizes to sew from: medium for everyday use, and large for those days when you have more on the go. From there, makers can choose from two different body styles (flat vs. pleated), and three adjustable strap options (pre-made OR self-made straps with a slider, or self-made straps that knot at the shoulder).
Whatever size and style you choose, our workshop will walk you through the entire bag-making process from start to finish, covering basics like tracing a pattern and cutting fabric, to inserting a zipper, sewing a lining, topstitching and more!
Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate. Students must feel confident threading a sewing machine and sewing straight seams independently to register for this workshop.

GENERAL CLASS POLICIES
All sewing machine-based workshops are limited to 5 participants. A minimum age of 17 is required for all classes unless otherwise stated. Students must have completed the Sewing Basics 1 class or have equivalent experience to participate in workshops that require the use of a sewing machine.
PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION
Due to the limited number of seats in our workshops, we require full payment of class fees at the time of registration. You may register for a class online via our website, in person, or over the phone (905-667-5663) with Visa or Mastercard.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Class fees are 100% non-refundable, though store credit will be issued if given adequate notice of changes or withdrawals. See below for our store credit guidelines.
For single-session workshops, store credit will be issued for changes or withdrawals made 72 hours prior to the start of the class. Changes/withdrawals within 72 hours of the class result in a forfeit of fees, though registrants are permitted to transfer their spot to another person if they cannot attend, pending approval.
For multi-session workshops, store credit will be issued for changes or withdrawals made one week prior to the start of the class. Changes/withdrawals within one week result in a forfeit of class fees, though registrants are permitted to transfer their spot to another person if they cannot attend, pending approval.
Please ensure your availability before registration, and provide ample notice of changes or withdrawals to avoid the loss of registration fees.
MASK POLICY
As of May 2023, masks are no longer mandatory to attend our workshops. We reserve the right to amend this policy at any given time.
